How to read this estimate

The monthly payment uses principal, a monthly rate equal to the annual nominal rate divided by 12, and equal end-of-month payments. The upfront fee is paid separately at the start; it is not financed or deducted from the principal.

Total loan payments are principal plus interest. Total outlay adds the entered upfront fee. This tool does not calculate APR: APR is a broader annual borrowing-cost measure that can include applicable fees. Compare the lender’s disclosed APR as well as payment, term, and total cost. Read the CFPB explanation of rate and APR.

Assumes a constant rate and every payment made on time. Excludes other charges, taxes, insurance, prepayment, variable rates, and lender-specific daily-interest or rounding rules. Amounts are rounded for display; an actual final payment can differ. Educational estimate, not a credit offer.
